ICC CT 2025 Schedule Out. After a prolong wait ICC finally released the schedule and confirmed that Hosts Pakistan will play New Zealand in Karachi on February 19 to begin the 2025 Champions Trophy. With the crucial match against Pakistan planned for February 23, India’s group stage matches and one semi-final have been set in Dubai.
In CT 2025 Group A, Bangladesh is ranked fourth, after holders Pakistan, India, and New Zealand. Afghanistan, South Africa, Australia, and England are in CT 2025 Group B. Afghanistan, first-time players, will play inaugural champions South Africa in the opening match of Group B on February 21 in Karachi. The highly anticipated match between England and Australia is scheduled for February 22 in Lahore.
The third location in Pakistan to be assigned games is Rawalpindi, where Bangladesh will play in two of them. Lahore will host both the second semifinal and the championship game. But if India advances to the championship match, the match would take place on March 9 in Dubai. All 15 matches are day-night affairs that begin at 14:00 Pakistan Standard Time, with a reserve day for the semifinals and final.
Following the BCCI’s confirmation that they would not be playing in Pakistan, the CT 2025, which had been off the calendar for eight years, faced a number of difficulties. When the ICC authorized neutral venues for the India-Pakistan games in the upcoming three-year global events on December 19, the protracted uncertainty finally came to an end. After that was decided, the PCB chose the United Arab Emirates as the neutral venue instead of Sri Lanka.
