Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Assam vs Gujarat
Gujarat overcame Assam to complete a three-match sweep, with skipper Chintan Gaja leading from the front (5 for 27). Gaja was helped by Priyajitsing Jadeja, who took 4 for 23 and dismissed Assam for 75 in under 20 overs, with only two of their batsmen reaching double figures. A 67-run opening pair between Urvil Patil (37) and Aarya Desai (28) nearly clinched the deal, but Assam managed a few of consolation wickets in an otherwise disappointing day on the field.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Goa vs Manipur
K Siddharth scored a magnificent century, while Vikash Singh missed his by only five runs, but the duo combined to secure a massive 171-run victory for Goa over Manipur. After Manipur elected to bowl, captain Bishworjit Konthoujam and Pheiroijam Jotin each grabbed two early wickets, putting Goa at 50 for 4, which swiftly grew to 92 for 5. However, the fifth-wicket partnership turned the game on its head with a 164-run sixth-wicket stand, leading Goa to a huge 298 total.
There was also a late collapse, with the Manipur captain picking up a fifer (5 for 49 in his 10 overs), but the target proved too high. Only Kangabam Priyojit Singh offered some resistance, but none of the other batters had the desire to remain around. The chase fell away immediately, and Amulya Pandrekar swept up the lower order in no time to clinch his own five-wicket haul, finishing with superb figures of 7.2-1-20-5.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Andhra vs Sikkim
After falling for 119 against Andhra in another low-scoring game in Mumbai, Sikkim fell by eight wickets. No Sikkim hitter was able to score more than 20 runs, as wickets dropped at regular intervals. To beat the opposition in 32.2 overs, every Andhra bowler—aside from Vinay—took one wicket each. Ricky Bhui’s undefeated 36-ball 41, which featured four fours and two maximums, helped Andhra cross the finish line in just the 21st over despite virtually little scoreboard pressure after Mohammad Talim hit twice in short succession to thwart their chase.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Hyderabad vs Saurashtra
With the help of Jay Gohil’s 60 and Harvik Desai’s undefeated 125, Saurashtra defeated Hyderabad by six wickets in Ahmedabad. Despite half-centuries from Tilak Varma and Aravelly Avinash, Hyderabad was held to a respectable 244/8 from their 50 overs by Chirag Jani, who took 4 for 36 from his 10 overs. Nonetheless, Desai and Gohil established a strong base for the chase with a century partnership in 20.3 overs. After his quick contribution, Gohil fell, but the opener continued to reach his hundred and lead his team to victory in the 43rd over.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Arunachal Pradesh vs Mumbai
After Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s 18-ball half-century and a brilliant bowling display, Mumbai defeated Arunachal Pradesh by nine wickets in a lopsided match. Mumbai chose to bowl first, and after thrashing Arunachal for just 73 in 33 overs, they were able to cross the finish line with 44.3 overs remaining thanks to the opener’s explosive knock.
With three of their top four players catching ducks, Arunachal fell to 30 for 6 in 19 overs, with captain Shardul Thakur and Harsh Tanna scoring two each. The only player to put up some effort was Techi Doria, who struggled to find a reliable partner and made a labored 13 off 48 balls. Yab Niya had a quick cameo of 17 at the fag end, scoring a few boundaries. But the target would never be sufficient. In his wild knock, Raghuvanshi hit nine fours and a six to win Player of the Match.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Punjab vs Karnataka
Karnataka won by just one wicket in a low-scoring thriller, with captain Mayank Agarwal carrying his bat through Punjab’s 247 chase. Mayank fought alone in the pursuit after Punjab was reduced to 247 by Abhilash Shetty’s fifer. He was part of half-century partnerships with Shreyas Gopal, who chipped in 29 runs, and fellow opener Nikin Jose, who contributed just 13. In a thrilling end, Mayank skillfully guided his team over the finish line with 2.3 overs remaining after Punjab captain Abhishek Sharma’s four-fer had once left Karnataka needing 45 more with the final wicket in hand.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Nagaland vs Puducherry
Nagaland lost to Puducherry by three wickets in a close, low-scoring match. Because of the patient half-centuries from Nischal (73) and Hem Chetri (55), as well as their century partnership, Nagaland, who were put in to bat first, managed to register 209 for 6 from their 50 overs. However, wickets fell often after the stand was broken, with Sidak Gurvinder Singh taking 4 for 35 from his 10 balls. With a brace apiece, Tahmeed Rahman and Imliwati Lemtur turned the tide once more, leaving Puducherrry reeling at 23 for 5 in a spectacular top-order collapse.
As Nagaland began to feel like they were winning, Ankit Sharma (50) and Aman Hakim Khan (70) came together for a 78-run partnership to put their team back on track. Soon after, it was 75 for 6. Soon after reaching fifty, Ankit fell, but Aman and Gurvinder (29) continued to push their team across the finish line with seven overs remaining.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Chandigarh vs Mizoram
In a low-scoring match, Chandigarh defeated Mizoram by six wickets because to the leadership of captain Manan Vohra. When put to bat, Mizoram could only produce 169, with KC Cariappa at number 9 scoring a scorching 41 off 14 balls, including six sixes.
Cariappa then showed off his skills with the ball as well, taking two wickets in seven balls to put Chandigarh in ruins at 13 for 4, dismissing all four of the scoring ducks. After that, Vohra and Ankit Kaushik stitched a 160-run partnership that won them the match. Ankit scored 58 runs in 70 balls, including seven fours, while the captain spearheaded the attack with 101 not out off 102 balls, which included 13 boundaries and three maximums.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Chhattisgarh vs Vidarbha
With a four-fer from Yash Thakur and an undefeated forty-four from captain Karun Nair, Vidarbha defeated Chhattisgarh by an easy eight wickets. The best score a Chhattisgarh batsman could achieve when Vidarbha chose to bowl first was 15, as Thakur dominated the top order to end with match-winning figures of 4 for 27 from his 10 overs, limiting them to just 80. Vidarbha lost their openers cheaply, but they easily crossed the finish line in 18 overs thanks to a 64-run partnership between Nair and Yash Rathod for the third wicket.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Bengal vs Tripura
Rain had the last say in Hyderabad, forcing Bengal and Tripura to share points. With many stoppages due to the ongoing rain, Sikkim set Bengal a reasonable target of 202 in 25 overs thanks to captain Mandeep Singh’s 94. In the end, 6.2 overs into Bengal’s pursuit, the game had to be abandoned.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Tamil Nadu vs Uttar Pradesh
Mohamed Ali’s 76* helped Shahrukh Khan’s 85-ball 132 to write a decisive 114-run victory for Tamil Nadu over Uttar Pradesh. At 68 for 5, TN was in trouble until Shahrukh and Ali teamed together for their double-century partnership. With a punishing century knock that included seven sixes and thirteen boundaries, Shahrukh was the aggressor. Ali finished with 284 for five, just above run-a-ball.
The chase was temporarily revived from 39 for 3 by Rinku Singh (55), and Priyam Garg (48). However, in his next overs, Vijay Shankar struck twice in quick succession to eliminate Garg and Nitish Rana. Rinku momentarily kept the battle alive, but TN’s brilliant bowling ensured that UP could only muster 170 in response before being dismissed in just 33 overs.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Himachal Pradesh vs Rajasthan
At the BKC in Mumbai, Rajasthan defeated HP by two wickets thanks to Abhijeet Tomar’s 98-ball 76, which eclipsed Ankit Kalsi’s 89. Their team reached a solid 286 thanks to Kalsi’s 89 and Apporav Walia’s useful run-a-ball of 45. Sumeet Verma’s cameo of 22 balls, worth 31, was also noteworthy. While Kukna Ajay Singh was costly, giving up 71 runs for his three wickets, Aniket Choudhary scored 4 for 67.
Every batsman in Rajasthan made a contribution. Notably, the openers established a strong foundation with a partnership of 109 runs, and almost everyone contributed, with the exception of Tomar, who never reached fifty. Rajasthan eventually reached the finish line with three balls and two wickets remaining, making Vaibhav Arora and Walia’s three-fers ultimately in vain.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Railways vs Services
In yet another low-scoring match at Wankhede, Railways defeated Services by seven wickets to secure their first victory of the year. After being dismissed to 64 for 4 in the 19th over, Services reached a solid 166 because to the contrasting knocks of captain Mohit Ahlawat (43 off 55) and Vineet Dhankhar (38 off 72). Shivam Choudhary was the only member of the Railways team who failed to score despite their combined bowling effort. With his 3 for 22 in 10 overs, which included the valuable scalps of the two leading scores, Akash Pandey was the best bowler.
Railways were briefly in danger at 7 for 2 after Poonam Poonia’s double strikes in the second over, but the chase was resumed with an 86-run partnership between opener Ashutosh Sharma (40 off 33) and Mohammad Saif (73 retd hurt). After Saif was injured and Ashutosh fell, captain Upendra Yadav stepped over and helped his team cross the finish line with 20 overs remaining by hitting three sixes in his 27* off of 22 balls.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Maharashtra vs Meghalaya
Siddhesh Veer impressed with an all-round performance (3 for 28 and 57*) as Maharashtra overcame Meghalaya by eight wickets. Meghalaya’s decision to bat first backfired because none of the batters could remain around to build a partnership. Arpit Bhatewara put up a fight, scoring 43 runs for the third wicket with Kishan Lyngdoh, but once that was broken, the middle and lower orders disintegrated. Veer got three late wickets to reduce the opposition to only 113. He then led a 97-run opening partnership, blasting eight boundaries in his 66-ball unbroken effort to help Maharashtra reach the target in 19.1 overs.
Vijay Hazare Trophy :- Odisha vs Uttarakhand
Swastik Samal (53) and Kartik Biswal (69) both scored half-centuries, and Rajesh Mohanty (5-41) added a fifer to help Odisha defeat Uttarakhand by 75 runs. The 76-run opening stand, followed by a 92-run partnership between Biswal and Aasirward Swain, helped Odisha reach a solid 265/7 from 50 overs. Almost all of Uttarakhand’s batters received starts, but neither was able to translate it into a match-winning effort, as wickets at regular intervals kept them well behind the asking rate. Mohanty cleaned up the tail, limiting the opposition to 190 in reply, which was bowled out in 42 overs.
