Gulf Giants vs MI Emirates Match Report
MI Emirates won by five wickets against Gulf Giants in a thrilling contest on Wednesday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the occasion being the 26th match of the International League T20 2025, the turning point in both teams’ playoff ambitions. Excellent cricket unfolded under the lights in the evening in Dubai.

The captain, Nicholas Pooran, revived the innings with a match-winning knock of 58 not out off 37 balls, with the innings including 6 fours and 3 sixes. His innings became very important at a pressurized run rate. There was brief momentum from Bevon Jacobs, who scored 18 off 14 balls, but late fireworks from Romario Shepherd propelled MI Emirates to within striking distance with an unbeaten knock of 23 off just 9 balls and sealed the match with 5 balls remaining.
The bowlers for Gulf Giants did their best, with special mention going to Aayan Afzal Khan for his 2 wickets for just 9 runs in his 2 overs. Blessing Muzarabani was very economical, giving away only 17 runs in his 4 overs with a crucial wicket. However, the experienced Chris Jordan proved expensive in his last over, which in the end cost the Gulf Giants the match.
This match was an eye-opener to the level of competitiveness in ILT20, a pure combination of individual brilliance and clever planning which can change the slide of a game. MI Emirates could move close to a playoff berth with this, while Gulf Giants would need to bounce back in their next games; otherwise, the hopes will go down in this very hot battle.
